About the Film

The Green Dress is a short film about a young woman who is brought into a gritty jail in a small town in Mexico. A grim scenario involving the girl, an abusive police captain and his idealistic deputy escalates and then changes dramatically when a miracle takes place. The film is the first short film by Brian Taylor and mixes elements of his conceptual collages with traditional filmmaking practices. The film has no dialogue and is set to a film score by Fernando Apodaca and a live-sound design.
